Thanks to the lack of sunlight and over-abundance of relatives you’re not really connected to, the holidays can be a really stressful time for everybody. Annoying, aggravating, depressing, it’s no wonder that the cold and flu season hits at the same time.
So, as we know that laughter is the best medicine, here is some recommended reading for the holidays!
Without Feathers and Getting Even by Woody Allen, and Steve Martin’s Cruel Shoes are short, brief, easy reads that will make you laugh out loud and not mind.
I also recommend any of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books, especially the first one.
Citizen Lazlo! by Don Novelo is a book my grandmother gave me. I could never tell if it was because she finished it and didn’t need it or was confused by it, but it contains some of the earliest works of punk populism books you’ll ever find by the man who gave us Father Guido Sarducci.
This is all part of my greater plan to raise the literacy rate in America, one chuckle at a time. Salud!
As you may have noticed, there’s a way you can email me through this site, but nowhere is the actual address listed – it’s actually yinyang@halsarks.com This is in reference to the style-switching on the site (which, if you haven’t tried, just click away!) and not me being some sort of a dork.
I’m trying right now to amass a collection of pictures of me with fans. After years of touring and doing meet and greets after every single show I’m sure there are tons of pictures out there and I’d like to have a copy. So if you’ve got a picture of us at the comedy show, please send it to this address.
And remember: if you ever send me a note, I’m the only one who reads it. I run all my won sites, I respond to all my own mail, I don’t have “my people” do it for me. It’s all a part of my plan to go as far as I can in this industry and still remain human.

I will be talking about health care reform, Iran, corporatism and my general love for all things teabagger.

While I”m there I’ll be hanging with the enormously talented @MrDaveHill and my dear friend and Colleague (Yeah…that’s right… I have colleagues!) David Bender…

This little video captures I think what is the most awkward part of going to a Premiere… Imagine that moment when your Grandmother wants another picture to add to the 100 you have already taken.. You love your grandma but.. yeesh.. That’s what the red carpet is like.. And it happens every time you go to the movies.. Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining..you can see the attempt at good humor… There’s just no way it can ever feel like a regular occurence..
