Hi,Hal. Listened to you on CPT, my local radio. My take on Portman is slightly different: he became anti gay as he witnessed his very young child exhibit all the symptoms. He didn't/couldn't communicate with his son, but instead,as a type "A" personality, took it out on all around him. I think that is an archetype that consumes may Politicians. Examples that you gave would also favor that insight; Cheny,et al. I really like your dynamic with Stephany, and I hope to hear all y'alls for a long time. Thanks

I found no real fault with Obama's tactics in the debate. He probably knew that - barring any 47% type gaffe - it would go to Romney anyway. Romney had the most ground to make up, much like Palin in 2008, so all he had to do was turn in a coherent performance and pundits would wet themselves over how great a debater he is and what a game-changer it was.

I guess so, if your definition of a great debater means lying your ass off. He basically walked back major points of his own campaign, which, to anyone paying attention, means he's he's a lying liar who lies and doesn't care who knows it. He made it too easy, like the debate version of trolling for LOLZ. He wanted Obama on the defensive so everyone could freak out about the angry, black guy, who would rather go on the attack with his opponent than defend his own record - which would then have all the pundits crying that his record was indefensible.

Instead, Obama fought back with *gasp* information. He's got right on his side and that's how you handle it. You don't have to argue with the fool, you simply have to present data. He didn't rise to the bait, he simply said, "Okay, that's the fantasy version. Here's reality." I would have hoped the "liberal media" would recognize the substance of facts over bluster and arrogance, but apparently Eddie Izzard's routine on the importance of 10% of what you say as opposed to 70% of how you look is tragically all too true.

Even so, I don't think Romney won the debate so much as it was given to him. But that was probably always going to be the case. Instead, Obama sat back and gave him all the rope necessary to hang himself with his own words. I have a theory that every time Obama looked down and smiled as he jotted something on a notepad, it was a reminder to piece together video of what Romney said on the campaign trail vs. what he presented at the debate.

He knew Mitt could only coast on this win until those fact-checkers decimated his entire presentation, then Obama wouldn't be the bad guy for attacking him, or the fool for arguing with him.

I love having a president smarter than most of us. In the words of Milt Shook, "Obama's playing 3-D chess, while some pundits are trying to master checkers."

<i>" if you are a 95 Year Old Wisconsin Grandma who has voted in the same place for decades…. You MUST show photo ID to vote..once!"</i>

That's just not fair... I'm not American, but that doesn't even matter does it because stuff like this is happening in Canada too. It's <b>unfathomable!</b> I think there was this bill, act, or something implanted or suggested by the government that raised the age at which people can retire by a couple of years or so, for the purpose of saving money or something like that. I should really do some more research on that; most of my knowledge on these matters are from anecdotes my teachers share in class or bits I read off of newspapers - both the physical and digital.

<i>"but if you’re a <strike>member</strike> friend of the Chinese mob.. you can’t donate Millions without proving you are a citizen!"</i>

... I have no real opinion on this... It's just... Nevermind...
